Adventure scenario where the influencer and the dog are killed in an accident in the United States across 17 countries

Influencer Jesse Koese, 29, and his dog Shurastie, who were killed in an accident in Portland, Oregon (USA), last Monday, had already passed through 17 countries on the planned route in Alaska. The duo hit the road in 2017, when Cuz, at the time, who was a salesman and teaches physical education in Balneário Cambori, Santa Catarina, sold his few possessions and bought a 1978 Beetle, which he named the Dodongo. The boy took Shurastey and hit the road, with R$10,000 in his pocket.

Coz’s Facebook page was inspired by backpackers, which made him see that it was possible to travel on a budget. The first destination was Ushuaia, Argentina. In the resort town, learn the story of a person who managed to get to Alaska by truck. I decided to do the same. Always accompanied by Shurastey, he crossed Brazil first and did some Latin American itineraries.

“I didn’t think much, I didn’t make long-term plans, we were Shurastey and Beetle Dodongo. I quit my job, sold everything I had, microwave, TV, and the only entertainment at the time, which was XBOX One,” Cuz wrote on a website where I keep An adventure diary.

In all, he and Schorasti traveled in 17 countries, covering a total of more than 85,000 kilometres, according to the influencer on his Instagram profile, always with his portable home: a tent moved on the roof of a Beetle. See where the duo went:

Stage 1: On May 6, 2017, the duo left Santa Catarina and Marta Rio Grande do Sul in Uruguay until their arrival in Argentina, where they resided in Ushuaia. They returned via Argentina, then went to Paraguay and entered Brazil via Foz de Iguaçu. Text completed in Curitiba. There were 15,000 kilometers covered at this point.

Stage two: Cuz and Schorasti toured Brazil. They left Curitiba in November 2017 towards Rio Grande do Sul, where they stayed until February 2018. From there, they traveled along the entire Brazilian coast to Belem, in Barra. The adventurers also passed through the state of Minas Gerais. It took almost 11 months and traveled about 25,000 kilometers.

Third stage: After leaving Belém, in January 2019, Cuz and Chorasti went to Maranhão, Tocantins, Distrito Federal, Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, where they crossed the border into Bolivia. The next destinations were Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico. At this point, more than 20,000 km have been covered.

In 2020, the duo had to take a break from the trip due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That year, after months of waiting in Mexico, the two returned to Brazil to await the reopening of the border with the United States, thus continuing their journey to Alaska.

In January 2022 Koz and Choraasti are finally back on the road. They managed to reach the United States, where they had a passage far from discreet. Dodongo became famous when he passed through Time Square in New York, where the influencer stumbled upon the car with a Golden Retriever. Coz and his dog went through other well-known scenarios such as the Golden Gate, the famous bridge in San Francisco; Hollywood. Route 66, the most famous road in the world; The Capitol Building in Washington.

The accident occurred as they were on their way to the Canadian border, where they had hoped to arrive later this week. They were expected to arrive in Alaska two days later.
