Specifications of OPPO Reno 8
The Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The panel has a peak brightness of 800 nits with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The device comes paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Inside, the phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. This chip was also released earlier this year and the Dimensity 1200 chipset is still updated.
In terms of cameras, the Reno 8 features a triple camera setup. Unfortunately, there is no ultra-fast sensor in this package. There is a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is also a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone draws its power from a 4500 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.
The device also has MariSilicon X NPU which has AI capabilities. Unfortunately, this camera setup doesn’t offer much versatility. Other features include an on-screen fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB Type-C port, 7.67 mm thick, and a weight of 179 grams.
Renault 8 Pro specifications
The Reno 8 Pro is the first smartphone with a first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 processor, which is right in the middle of the range, and its specifications are sure to appeal to customers. The phone has a 6.62-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of photography, the phone has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The main camera is a Sony IMX766 directional sensor. There is also a 32MP front camera for taking selfies. Oppo Reno 8 Pro draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery with 80W Super Flash charging. Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. There is also a MariSilicon X NPU.
Specifications of Reno 8 PRO +
Reno 8 Pro+ looks very similar to Realme GT Neo 3 and OnePlus 10R / OnePlus Ace. We may have another renaming here, for the third time in a row! However, the phone comes with a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution. However, it should be noted that the camera setup has a different design. There is a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.
Inside, we have a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX and a MariSilicon X chip for AI capabilities. The phone has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Like its siblings, the phone has NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint reader.
Prices and availability
Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ prices start at 3,699 CNY (around 521 euros), Reno 8 Pro starts at 2,999 CNY (around 422 euros), while Reno 8 starts at 2,499 CNY (around 351 euros). The smartphones are available for pre-order in China, but are likely to reach other markets, including India, in the coming months. However, we cannot say whether all variants will come out of China.
