Esri will present ArcGIS for Microsoft Planetary Computer at the Living Planet Seminar

Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, presents ArcGIS for Microsoft Planetary Computer at the Living Planet Symposium. Esri’s new show, to be launched in July 2022, will prepare the audience of the European Space Agency (ESA), geographers, data scientists and other researchers observing the planet.

The ESA Living Planet 2022 symposium focuses on the role of Earth observation in building a sustainable future and a resilient society. Participants also explore how emerging technologies are revolutionizing the use of Earth observation and how businesses and the economy can benefit.

To support these goals, an Esri presentation given at the event gives users access to the Microsoft Planetary Computer. This multi-petabyte catalog of global environmental data can be accessed directly from ArcGIS Pro, Esri’s comprehensive image analysis software. Among the features:

  • User interface, as well as options for scripts and laptops.

  • A suite of ready-to-use analysis tools and survey functions designed for change detection, time series analysis, deep learning, and more.

  • Processing in real time.

  • The ability for users to share their craft through templates, dashboards, custom apps, and more when a survey is completed.

  • New image services such as the full Sentinel-1 file. This extends to Sentinel-2 Level-2A, Landsat 8, 9 Level-2, and Sentinel-2 at 10m of land use/land cover already included in ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World.

Esri experts are on hand to show participants the new data collection process.
