With the high market demand for technology professionals, large companies have offered professional qualification courses.

Opportunities are available to people with or without prior knowledge, with options ranging from beginner to advanced and with reputed certifications.

The courses are aimed at those who wish to enter the labor market, change their career field or advance in their career. Among the companies with courses, Microsoft, Bradesco, Meta/Facebook, and Amazon, for example.

Currently, there is a shortfall of 408 thousand IT professionals, according to Softex, an organization dedicated to developing the IT field. This scenario sparked a dispute for qualified professionals.

“Other countries have been looking for candidates here and offering better advantages. Tech professionals are being sought out a lot. Many people are changing their fields because of the opportunities,” highlights engineering and computing professor Ottavio Loeb.

Google is one of the companies that offer professional courses with certificates. Qualifications include data analysis, IT support, project management, and UX design in Brazil. The project is a partnership with the Coursera platform.

HR Specialist and CEO of Heach Brasil RH, Elcio Teixeira, says that professionals with the aforementioned training earn salaries starting at R$2,000, but can go up to R$16,000 with progressive qualification of the candidate. “These certifications, in addition to making us educated regarding web navigation, undoubtedly add to the advantages in terms of the job market,” he says.

The Grow with Google courses are available online, with a flexible schedule and duration of 200 hours or more. The course costs $14 per month (about R$75, depending on price). There is also a choice of quarterly and semi-annual plans, which have a 33% and 50% discount, respectively.

“We want everyone to have the digital skills needed to take advantage of the technological revolution and participate in this growth, and contribute to the country’s economic recovery,” says Susana Ayarza, Google’s director of marketing in Brazil.
