Of this year’s entrants, only two remain at CT do Caju: CEO Alexandre Matos and coach/assistant Wesley Carvalho.. Carvalho, including, will lead the red-black team provisionally against Ceara on Saturday, in favor of Brazil.

The new signings for the season are coach and coach Luis Felipe Scolari, Filipao, and her assistants Carlos Bracchidelli and Paolo Torra. The trio, who was announced two days ago, will accompany the duel in the penalty area at Arena da Baixada and will take charge of the day after Sunday.

With this quintet, along with president Mario Celso Petraglia, Atletico will try to fix the course in the (flawed) layout.. Place in Serie THE.

Atletico invested 64 million Brazilian riyals in the transfer window, and Petraglia recently shipped the team due to a lack of results. The manager made it clear at the beginning of the year that he wanted to fight for trophies in the Libertadores, the Copa del Rey and Brazil.

The 5-0 defeat against The Strongest, by Liberta, was the catalyst for the board of directors to seek a third recast in the football department and coaching staff. And the crowd got tired, too, having revolted. On their way back from Bolivia, about 40 fans went to the airport and then to CT do Caju for a gathering.

The next day, Atletico also expelled Mauricio Sousa and Bruno Lazzarone from the standing committee. The decision was made by Mattos. With the duo, there were 13 exits between layoffs and dismissals.

During this time at Atlético, Paolo Autori considered leaving occasionally for personal reasons. One of them was when the board of directors began to make strong demands on Antonio Oliveira, who later resigned.

In December last year, he considered leaving the club, but chose to stay and created a football division with Alberto Valentim, Bruno Lazzaroni, Lucho Gonzalez and Ricardo Gomez.

In January, the arrival of Alexandre Matos as CEO of the Business and International Relations area led to a conflict of ideas. Less than a month later, the coach resigned for not agreeing to put pressure on James Freitas, the aspiring coach.

Ricardo Gomez was appointed at the beginning of the year, replacing William Thomas and it was Petraglia’s decision. He’s been away from day-to-day football since 2019. And his stint took a month: he quit with Autori, in February, for opposing the demands of ambitious coach, James Freitas.

Fernando Yamada came with Alexandre Matos and Carlinhos Neves, under the pretext of “excellence”, at the end of January. He started as a coordinator of coaching classes, but became director of football within two weeks with the departure of Ricardo Gomez.

The hurricane’s passage lasted just over three months. He was fired on the same day as Karel’s departure, in early May.

Football director, Rafael Andrade, was in his second spell in the Hurricane. He returned in Petraglia elections in 2012 and took some roles in CT do Caju. He was dismissed in February.

Carlinhos Neves arrived with Matos and Yamada, but he was the first to leave. His tenure lasted only two months as Performance and Health Coordinator. Neves was notified of his resignation by President Mario Celso Petraglia with a quick 30-second call. justification? New general changes.

James Freitas was hired in November 2021 to take over the ambitious team, but his time on the field was short-lived. He led the team in five matches, with one win and four draws (in a row) in Paranines.

The coach was even the focus of discussion at CT do Caju that culminated in the departure of Autuori and Gomes from the club. The couple left the day before he was expelled, in early February.

Alberto Valentim arrived in October 2021 to replace the vacant Antonio Oliveira – the team was temporarily led by Autori and Lazzaroni. He was the South American champion (he only led the final against Bragantino) and was a Copa Brasil runner-up against Atlético MG after Flamengo played in the semi-finals.

This year, he was runner-up at Recopa Sul-Americana, knocked out Coritiba in the semi-finals of Paranaense and got a poor start in Libertadores and Brasileirão. In all, there were 28 matches, with eight wins, eight draws and 12 defeats – with a success rate of 38%.

Announced on April 13, Fabio Carrell remained in office for only 21 days. He performed seven exercises and seven matches, with three wins and four defeats. He was fired in Bolivia after a 5-0 setback in favor of The Strongest.

Dennis Loeb and Leandro Koca

Coming with Carille, the assistants didn’t last long at CT do Caju. The sudden separation of the coach extended to the duo.

He was appointed by Paolo Autori, then coach, Bruno Lazzaroni in February 2021 to coach the ambitious team. He led the Hurricane in eight games, with three wins, one draw and four defeats.

After that, the club put players from the state’s main level and dissolved the group of hopefuls – the professional returned to being “only” an assistant. Lazzarone was still interim coach in 2021 for four matches following the departure of Antonio Oliveira, with two wins.

He “housed” driving with the Autuori until Valentine’s arrival. Lazzaroni remained on the standing committee with Valentim and Karel, but was expelled by Alexandre Matos with Hyatt Filippau and his lieutenants.

The former Atletico player, Lucho González returned to the club in January for an assisting role. Since 2020, Lucho has been preparing to end his career with technical courses.

There was an agreement within Atletico since last year that he would be part of the coaching staff. The agreement was reached last year in conversation with Petraglia and Autuori. The departure of the Argentine coach left a surprise but decided to stay on the occasion.

The direction was for him to take a position in the youth ranks, but plans changed and he worked with the first team. However, Valentim’s resignation was a catalyst for Gonzalez to demand a hurricane exit in April.

Appointed in February, assistant Mauricio Sousa has been without a club since leaving Flamengo. He arrived to fill precisely the temporary void left by Lazzaroni, who was absent from action due to health problems. Lazzaroni recovered and returned to work in April, with Souza and Lucho Gonzalez on the standing committee.

He was separated with Lazzaroni after Filippau’s arrival. The decision was made by CEO Alexandre Matos, who preferred to keep Wesley Carvalho as the only permanent assistant after Scolari’s lieutenants arrived.
