what do you want to know
- A source who uploaded the images to Android Central said what the Pixel watch might look like and that it was found in a restaurant in the US.
- Images of what the watch might look like seem to match several leaked rumors, including the minimalist design, crown and hidden button.
- It looks like there are Google owned domains on the watch.
- I don’t know how the charging will be, because the watch does not come with a charger.
The Google Pixel Watch has been spotted in a restaurant in the US, and it looks like the images uploaded by the source to Android Central are what Google’s first smartwatch will look like.
Android Central reviewed images of the watch, which Google I/O may announce next month. The watch can also run with the Pixel 7.
The source, which we left anonymous to protect their identities, was found in a restaurant with a watch that served as a “test model for a home pixel board”. To protect their work, Proof requested that Android Central not reveal his name or the name of the restaurant, including its location.
The leak reminds us of when the Gizmodo iPhone 4 emulator was lost and found in a tape. The phone is camouflaged to look like the iPhone 3GS.
If the pictures are real, this is the first time I’ve seen a watch with the name “Rohan”. 9to5Google Hidden in Google Update is a code that indicates that the Pixel Watch will use the Exynos chipset instead of the Snapdragon model found in most Wear OS 3 compatible watches.
The watch in our photos looks almost identical from the leaks from the rumored renders. It has a simple design and follows the recommended screen with no leakage bezels. The image confirms one of the colors the watch is rumored to be coming: black.
Previous rumors suggested that the watch would have a rotating crown and two hidden buttons.
It’s a little tricky to tell from the image above, but if this was a rumored watch, there would definitely be at least one button next to the crown.
Looking at the photos above, it looks like the watch band is a Google-owned band and looks like the Apple Watch sports band like Jelly. This means we can see more colors to come. It looks like a bag wrapped with string.
Replacing watch straps can be difficult, especially when it’s on top of other smartwatches, Android offers more opportunities with standard watch strap types.
There is no charger left with the watch, but the watch can be charged in the back of the watch case. Fitbit’s Versa 3 and Sense (owned by Google Fitbit) smartwatches and Apple Watch are billed in the same way.
The source pointed out that the base “is similar to metal, but it seems covered with glass.”
In this particular photo shown above, you can see that one of the holes for the strap looks like pins. This may be an architecture used for testing and may not be in the product version.
We can’t be sure, but the watch may also have a Qi pattern that allows for wireless charging capabilities.
Since the watch does not come with a charger, we can’t say for sure what’s going on inside.
The manuals indicated that nothing more happened when trying to run the boot logo, as you can see in the image above. This means that no operating system has been installed on the watch yet.
We know Google will be using the new Wear OS 3 platform co-created with Samsung, but we can expect Google to put its own Pixel feature in the software.
Last but not least, we don’t know which regions Google plans to release the watch in, but it does include North America, Canada, and the European Union.
In the image, a small note at the bottom of the box reads: “This device has not been certified or tested to comply with the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission and Industry Canada in the European Union.”
It states that this form is “for in-house testing and development only” and that “specification and packaging are not final”.
